San Francisco TV station KTVU fired three producers for its gaffe in reporting on the Asiana Airlines crash this month, local blogger Rich Lieberman reported Wednesday.
The station was duped into reporting the pilots’ names as “Sum Ting Wong,” “Wi Tu Lo” and “Ho Lee Fuk,” among others.

It appears the station called the National Transportation Safety Board, where an intern “confirmed” an Internet rumor about the names.
