Japan Tsunami Warning Follows Chile Quake
Japan has issued a warning for a tsunami of three metres (10 ft) or higher along its northern Pacific Coast following the devastating earthquake in Chile.
Authorities have warned coastal residents to evacuate to higher ground.
A tsunami warning issued for the US state of Hawaii was lifted, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre said.
The centre said on its website that based on all available data, there was no longer a destructive tsunami threat to the state.
